This Thursday (08), the Amapá Civil Police rescued an 11-year-old boy, a victim of rape. The victim was married to her own 23-year-old brother-in-law, who was arrested on the spot. As the investigation reported, the marriage did not have the consent of the child’s family.

“She is a girl both physically and behaviorally,” Police Chief Erivelton Clemente told UOL.

The case reached the Civil Police through the Guardianship Council, which had received the information that a girl was married to an adult. The arrest took place at the criminal’s home, in the riverside community of Cajari.

According to the Civil Police, the aggressor was already in the victim’s family home because they both live together, since his sister is married to the child’s brother and lived with her. A month ago, the victim was convinced to start the relationship and eloped with the suspect, but regretted it when her parents came to visit her with the intention of bringing her back.

The girl revealed in testimony that she had sexual relations with the criminal. “They lived as if they were husband and wife. I spoke to the victim and she told us that they had sex during the night. I sent her to the coroner and it turned out there was a crime. Her parents had already gone after their daughter several times, but she reported that she was afraid to return. At first he ran away because he wanted to, but when his parents went there, he was afraid to return, ”said the chief.

The deputy also said that the man alleged that he fell in love with the boy. “He said he fell in love and moved in with her. It is a sick mind because it is a person of 23 years and one of 11. Under 14, the law establishes that the victim does not have the capacity to allow sexual practice, thus becoming an alleged violation of violence for the vulnerable ”, he said .

The man is detained at the Vitória do Jari police station and awaits the custody hearing to see if he will be sent to the penitentiary or will respond to the process in freedom.
