Anderson Rodrigues Leitão, who murdered former dancer Ana Carolina de Souza Vieira, was arrested on Thursday (01), in Fortaleza.
The murder took place in 2015 and Anderson had been arrested on the same day of the crime after confessing to killing the strangled victim. In April 2020, the offender fled a prison unit where he was serving a semi-open sentence.
In 2015, Anderson said he took rat poison with the intention of dying in the arms of the young woman. The man was sentenced to 11 years in prison in a closed regime. In addition, he was also sentenced to five years for drug trafficking in Santa Catarina.
The defendant won the opportunity to go to the semi-open regime in February 2020, but ended up fleeing in April.
