The Rio de Janeiro Regional Labor Court determined the suspension of the match between Palmeiras and Flamengo, for the Brazilian Championship, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (Brasilia) this Sunday, in São Paulo. The agency accepted the request of Sindeclubes, the club’s employee union in the state, which filed a public civil action this Friday, signed by lawyer Henrique Fragoso.
The request to postpone the departure until the employees of the Río club fulfilled their quarantine was justified with the possibility of contagion. The decision is signed by the labor judge Filipe Olmo.

In the document, the union alleges that 21 professionals are scheduled by the club for the game and sees “high risk of contagion”, since many of them were in Ecuador, when there was an outbreak of contamination by coronavirus in the delegation.

The Sindeclubes is chaired by José Pinheiro dos Santos, who is a security officer for Flamengo. According to him, the request for the measures to be taken came from Red-Black employees, concerned about the exit.
Flamengo, meanwhile, presented a request for a review of the STJD’s decision, which on Friday rejected the red and black request to postpone the game. There has been no further response from the court.
Consult the decision of the labor judge Filipe Olmo:
“Despite the protocols established by CBF and the second accused, it is public and notorious, from the documents and news attached to the file, that there is a targeted outbreak among the employees and players of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. Due to the possible false results negatives and the possibility of becoming infected within the incubation period, there is no guarantee that healthy employees will not have contact with other employees who may be infected.
It should also be noted that exams are done 2-3 days in advance and that other employees may have been infected after the exam, due to the outbreak mentioned above. In this context, there is no way to guarantee that employees who have tested negative are, in fact, healthy and not transmitting the virus, either due to the possibility of a false negative result or due to the possibility of having contracted the virus after the test. exam.
It should be noted that the author union represents the club’s staff, often made up of older people and / or belonging to the risk group, which increases the risk of the party in question.
Keeping the game would imply too much risk to the health of the players of both teams, the coaching staff and other employees. Also, there is a risk of contamination from family members when they return home. “
