The mayor of Ji-Paraná, Marcito Aparecido Pinto (PDT), was born in Cascavel (PR) on August 25, 1974. He studied Computer Engineering in Curitiba (PR).

He worked as a food business entrepreneur. He was president of the Commercial and Industrial Association of Ji-Paraná and president of the Federation of Commercial and Business Associations of Rondônia (Facer). According to the PF, the investigation began in December 2019. The complaint came from a businessman who provided services to municipalities.

One of the municipalities would have made the payment of a debt with a service provider conditional on the transfer of bribes. It was this businessman who decided to report the fraud and reported three more municipalities that, according to him, adopted the same corruption practice.

The PF says that the images from the cameras showed that the investigators received thousands of reais in cash.

In addition to the arrest warrants, those involved were dismissed from public functions and the blockade of assets in excess of R $ 1.5 million, an amount that, in theory, would have been received illegally.
