Justice Minister André Mendonça was discharged from the hospital on Saturday (19), according to information provided by the communication department of the ministry. On medical advice, you will be working from home for the next three weeks.
He had been admitted last Sunday (13), to a hospital in Brasilia, after feeling bad during the night.

The minister even underwent a catheterization, but the suspicion of a heart attack was ruled out.
According to the government, Mendonça carried out a new “screening” for Covid-19, but the tomography and the PCR test (which indicates the presence of the virus at that time) were negative.
Still on Sunday, the minister even received a visit from President Jair Bolsonaro in the hospital.
“The minister thanks God for his health, as well as the prayers and all the assistance received from the Brasília Hospital team,” says a note released by the Ministry of Justice.
Mendonça assumed the Ministry of Justice and Public Security at the end of April. She replaced former judge Sérgio Moro, who justified her departure from government to an alleged interference by President Jair Bolsonaro in the Federal Police.
Before the ministry, Mendonça commanded the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation (AGU). He was also part of Bolsonaro’s transition team.
