A five-year-old boy fell from the sixth floor of a building, in the Jardim Atlântico neighborhood, in Serra, on Friday night (18). In testimony, the girl’s parents, identified as Ana Julia Fonseca, said that she played alone in the room. At the time of the accident, the father was in the room and the mother had gone down to the lobby to get a soda.

Shortly after picking up the drink, the woman saw a group of people standing next to a child lying on the ground. It was then that she realized it was her daughter. The girl’s eyes were open, but she didn’t move.

The boy was rescued by a fire department ambulance and taken to the Vitória Children’s Hospital, where he underwent a femur operation.

The condo manager revealed that the department where the accident occurred had no protection whatsoever. He also said that days before the accident, he had published a statement in the neighborhood group, warning about the prevention of accidents with children, even stating that parents put safety nets on the windows and balconies of the apartments.

This Saturday morning (19), the relatives gathered at the reception of the emergency room of the Vitória Children’s Hospital and waited for news about the girl’s state of health.
