Mother hugged girl shot in Duque de Caxias to try to protect her | Rio de Janeiro

The parents did not want to record an interview because they live in a risk zone. The mother said that the girl was playing when she set up the refreshment stand where they work, at the door of the house, in the Massapê community, in Santa Cruz da Serra, when she heard the shots.

He hugged the girl and, shortly after, saw that the daughter was injured. The boy was beaten on the chest and treated at a health unit in the region. Then she was transferred to the Adão Pereira Nunes Hospital. The Duque de Caxias Health Department says he is not at risk of dying.

On Tuesday morning (15), Globocop flew over nearby communities where the girl was shot and trapped at least 10 barricades.

Residents in the area say the prevalence of traffic is growing.

“There is a barricade on every corner. Worst of all, they are pointing guns at everyone and even searching people. In a car with tinted windows you have to leave, you have to practically abandon the car to see that you are residents. And this is the situation today, ”said a citizen who did not want to be identified for fear of reprisals.

The Military Police said they reinforced police surveillance in the Massapê community.
