RIO – This Saturday 102 deaths and 323 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus were registered in the state of Rio. de S. Paulo, which collects information from state health departments.
Thus, Rio already has 16,985 deaths and 240,776 confirmed cases of Covid-19. In addition to the confirmed deaths, there are another 380 deaths under investigation. The moving average of deaths per day reaches 65, which represents a drop of 38% compared to two weeks ago.
In the capital, according to the balance of the city council, another 25 deaths from Covid-19 were confirmed. In total, the city represents 95,190 cases of infected people. Of this number, 82,902 were recovered and 10,113 died from the disease. The moving average of cases in the city continues to fall.
The capital tops the list of case numbers among the cities of the state of Rio. Niterói ranks second, with 11,973 confirmed cases so far. This is followed by São Gonçalo (11,540), Duque de Caxias (8,679) and Belford Roxo (8,428). Regarding the number of deaths, Duque de Caxias and São Gonçalo follow Rio on the list among municipalities, respectively, with 681 and 664 confirmed deaths.
