The doctor Guido Céspedes, known for creating the so-called “Covid Kit”, in Sinop, in the interior of Mato Grosso, died a victim of the new coronavirus last Wednesday (02). He remained in the ICU of the city hospital for 45 days.

The kit consisted of substances without scientific proof to fight the disease, such as zinc and ibuprofen, as well as hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and invermectin, widely publicized by President Jair Bolsonaro.

The doctor had a history of diabetes, being overweight, and high blood pressure, which made his health worse. The mayor of Sinop, Rosana Martinelli, mourned her death on social media.

“A dedicated and courageous servant who has done so much for all of us. On the front line, he signed the Kit Covid protocol and did everything possible for our municipality. In this moment of pain, I sympathize with the family and leave them here with a big hug ”, published Martinelli.
