Dr. Dieynne Saugo was transferred by plane this Thursday night (3) from the Cuiabá Hospital Complex to the Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital, in São Paulo (SP).
Dieynne was admitted to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since Sunday (31) after being bitten by a Jararaca snake during a bath in the Serra Azul Waterfall, in Nobres, 151 km from Cuiabá (MT).
The family said they opted for the transfer because the Cuiabá hospital beds are full from the Covid-19 pandemic and the medical specialists are overloaded. He underwent a blood transfusion Thursday afternoon.

The coordinating doctor of the Antivenom Center of Mato Grosso (Ciave), José Antônio de Figueiredo, said that the doctor’s case is considered serious.

Dieynne was touring one of the Nobres sights when the incident occurred. The snake fell with the waterfall and hit the doctor just below.
