A jaguar scared the inhabitants by driving through the streets of Cerqueira César, a city in the interior of São Paulo, this Tuesday morning (01). The animal was seen after invading the funds of a Basic Health Unit (UBS).
According to the Fire Department, an employee of the unit called the corporation. The jaguar jumped a low fence off the unit. Despite the shock, no one was hurt.
One video shows a resident, in a car, trying to scare the jaguar and alert passersby as the cat runs through the neighborhood. In the images you can see the moment when the animal crosses the path of a woman, who runs away. The images show the jaguar hiding at a construction site, where it tries to surround it.
The firefighting teams managed to capture the feline and requested the support of a group from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of UNESP in Botucatu.
According to the agents, the animal must pass the examinations and then be returned to the area of preserved forest in the region.
