Inhabitants of the city of Cerqueira César, in the interior of São Paulo, went through a scare, this Tuesday morning (1), after a jaguar invaded the funds of a Basic Health Unit (UBS). The animal ran through the streets of the municipality, tried to jump inside the houses and even crossed the path of a neighbor. One video shows a man following the jaguar in a car to try to scare and drive it away.

The Fire Department was called by a UBS employee after she tried to jump a low fence from the unit. None was injured. The information is from Portal R7.

In the video made by the resident chasing the animal by car, you can see the moment when the jaguar crosses the path of a woman, who runs away. The images also show the feline trying to hide on a construction site, where other people try to surround it.

The firefighting teams managed to capture the feline near Rua Antônio Israel Rosa and requested the support of a group from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp / Botucatu).

According to the agents, the animal must pass the examinations and then be returned to the area of ​​preserved forest in the region.
