The RJ2 of this Tuesday (1st) showed that more employees of the Rio City Council were identified aimed at interrupting the work of the press – look who’s below.
They integrated one or more groups of messages per application to organize actions at the doors of health units. “Guardians of the Crivella”, the largest of them, had 252 participants. There are, in addition to servers, municipal secretaries, officials and special advisers.

- MP opens investigation and asks Crivella for clarification
Senior members of the municipal administration they were also in the group. And one of the phones even seems registered as The mayor himself Marcelo Crivella (Republicans). Beyond, the municipal secretary of Health, Beatriz Busch.
Also the former secretary of Public Order, Colonel Paulo Amendola, who is currently president of the Pereira Passos Institute, and the municipal secretary of Culture, Adolfo Konder.
Journalist Valéria Blanc, an advisor who conducts the dialogue between the city and the press, is also in the “Guardiões do Crivella” group.
In the messages obtained by RJ2, no manifestation of these people was identified in the group.
‘Special advice in GBP’
Another group is “GBP”, which he calls “GBP Special Advice”, a reference to the mayor’s office. With 74 participants, the group brings together special advisers to the mayor, among them Marcos Luciano, the “ML”.
Municipal officials who came to the hospital door to avoid press work and patient complaints were part of the two.
Although the scale in hospitals is recent, since last year public officials have hampered the work of journalists. On December 23 last year, during the health crisis, the reporter Diego Haidar was harassed at the door of the Salgado Filho Hospital, in Méier.
Municipal employee Helena Gabriela da Silva Gomes, at that time, was housed in the mayor’s office. The recording of her interruptions to the reporter’s work ended in the group “Guardians”.
To this day, Helena da Silva Gomes remains in the mayor’s office. Her salary is R $ 4,500.
As of December 2019, the scheme has gained more organization. Scales and heads were established. And a third group called “On Duty” was created.
It was created especially to facilitate communication between the guard group at the door of municipal hospitals. And that’s where most of the information revealed on RJ2 is.
One of the group’s videos shows reporter Ana Paula Santos preparing for a live entry. She is watched at the door of the Albert Schwaitzer Hospital by Eduardo Gil, one of the “guardians”.
In a recording in one of the groups, an alert appears. One person warns other members that journalists would already suspect that people connected to the city council are acting to disrupt the reports.
“Then they are already so connected that there are people from the mayor at the doors of the hospitals, okay? They asked if we were security and such and we talked about it. So people have to pay close attention. You know there is a troop. at the doors of the hospitals waiting for them. “
Another member of the scheme said, anonymously, that in the group “On call” he had taken care to send the scales of the approaches individually.
“No, it is not for the group. No, send it individually. Only for those people who are scheduled that day. So if X is not scheduled, he does not receive the schedule. Only those who are scheduled.”
