The mother of the child, 36 weeks pregnant, had disappeared on Thursday (27) and was found dead the next day, in a pottery in Canelinha, in the neighboring city of São João Batista, where the two women lived. The author confesses that she was a childhood friend of the victim and was arrested this friday (28). In testimony to police, the woman said she planned the case to keep the girl after she had an abortion earlier this year and acted alone. The suspect’s wife, who brought the stolen newborn to the hospital, is also in prison.
