President jair Twitter again minimized spending on corporate card this Monday (11). Speaking to supporters, the president said he financed part of the repatriation operation for Brazilians residing in Wuhanin China, questioned by a follower if the China Hiding data on the new coronavirus, the president avoided commenting on the matter and cited the expense on the presidential card.
“What can I say about China that yesterday the press as always, excuse me, the press as always criticizes the corporate card,” he said. Bolsonaro criticized the press for reporting the expenses made from January to April this year.
As the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo revealed: expenses corporate card bent in the first four months of 2020, compared to the average of the last five years. The invoice in the period was R $ 3.76 million. The amount spent was released every month on the government’s Transparency Portal, but it is not detailed, which prevents knowing the weight that the operation to rescue Brazilians in China had on the total bill.
For supporters, Bolsonaro spoke about spending on the repatriation operation, without more detailed explanations on the matter. “It looks like I’m taking it, I’m using the card for the party,” he said.

The president also responded to a supporter who questioned him about the “delay of Health Minister Nelson Teich in supporting the use of hydrochloroquine” in the treatment of covid-19. The drug is not yet proven effective against the disease.
“This information is not really (about the delay), because it is in the protocol. There is a State that does not accept it. It is making it difficult, others are not.” The president also noted that the medication can be found at a pharmacy in DF. “There is chloroquine here in Braslia pharmacies, here it is. In some states there is not. We will try to pursue why there is not,” he said.
