Mato Grosso do Sul registered 20 new cases of coronavirus in 24 hours. The cities of Guia Lopes da Laguna with 8 registries and Brasilândia with 4 more, were the ones that had the most confirmed infections on this day. In total, the state reaches 346 people infected with the disease.
São Gabriel do Oeste is included in the list of municipalities with a coronavirus registry, in Mato Grosso do Sul. With this, 29 cities have already been infected with the disease. The increase of 20 cases (State), shows that every 72 minutes, there is a new contagion.
Of the new cases, Guia Lopes da Laguna leads with 8 other registries, six men and two women, aged between 29 and 54 years. They are all isolated at home. There were four more cases in Brasilândia, two men and two women, aged 30 to 47 years.
Três Lagoas has two more cases, a 27-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, both isolated in their home. The first case of São Gabriel do Oeste is a 69-year-old man who is hospitalized. The other records were in Campo Grande, Ribas do Rio Pardo, Bonito, Bela Vista and Jardim. All of them (cities) with one case each.
In total, there are 114 patients in isolation, 200 have already recovered from the disease and 21 are still hospitalized in health centers in Mato Grosso do Sul. With 11 deaths, the state has a death rate of 3.2%.
Undersecretary of Health Christianne Maymone said that as of this week there was an increase in respiratory viruses. “We need to take care of the backyards and avoid dengue outbreaks. There are three pillars, the prevention of coronavirus, the vaccine to prevent influenza and the elimination of the focus on dengue control,” he added.
