The measure was taken after the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz) recommended the urgent initiative in the Rio Metropolitan Region. County’. The measure, in principle, is valid from May 11 to 15 and can be extended until May 22, a date scheduled to end social isolation in the city.

According to the text, there will be a fine for those who do not comply with the sanitary administrative orders to restrict movement within the municipality. In fact, coercion can occur to prevent people from continuing to travel in large numbers in public spaces, given the risk of uncontrolled spread of Covid-19, according to the Message, causing a collapse in the public health system.
