The government has announced a new set of digital public services in the context of an effective, fast and, above all, intact service to citizens, given the restrictions that exist due to the coronation.
The “digital counters”, which send public documents to email, but also issue certificates through gov.gr have already been operational since yesterday, while within a month the digital signature is expected to work in the State.
From now on, the citizen will be able to trade with public services and through a conference with the employee. This is the “digital counter”, which currently concerns the KEP, the Tax Office and the e-EFKA, but is expected to operate in other public services soon.
The citizen will enter gov.gr, make an appointment with the service they want and will have a conference with the employee at the time they agree. If you request a certificate, the employee will issue it digitally and send it by email.
At the same time, through gov.gr, citizens will be able to submit their application electronically with the document or certificate they need from the KEP, which will then issue the required documents and send them to the citizen’s email. . Due to the coronation and to avoid physical presence, documents have been mailed to applicants by mail or post in the past two months. As for the service by physical presence, it has been prohibited and until now it has only been possible in exceptional cases and after an appointment between the employee and the citizen.
As of yesterday, the issuance of registration certificates through gov.gr. These are seven certificates (birth, death, marriage, baptism, marital status, permanent residence and close relatives) that have been digitally announced by the Interior Minister, Takis Theodorikakos.
Within the month, the introduction of the “digital signature” in the State is also expected. This will allow the entire hierarchy of ministries to sign digitally, which is expected to alleviate the bureaucracy of specific procedures, but will also reduce the need for face-to-face presence.
