PRESS RELEASE

Publication of payment notices for the month of March 2020 – Deadline until May 5 for a 25% discount

The e-EFKA website announced the contributions to the March 2020 insurance for 1,211,406 freelancers, freelancers and farmers. Due to the special conditions prevailing in the country, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline for payment is Tuesday 05.05.2020.

On the same date, the payment of the contribution will be made through direct payment from a bank account (permanent order).

For the issuance of contributions, the provisions of the Legislative Content Law published on March 30, 2020 (Government Gazette A ’75) have been taken into account, which provide measures to support the economy from the consequences of the pandemic coronation. In particular, self-employed and self-employed workers may choose to pay insurance contributions:

to. Payment of the contribution corresponding to your insurance category.

b. The payment of the contribution of March 2020 is reduced by 25% if they have paid or pay until 5/5 the contributions of January and February 2020

c. The payment of the contribution in four (4) monthly installments without surcharges, with the payment of the first installment until 9/30/2020 if they fall in the affected branches

It is clarified that:

to. The first option concerns policyholders who wish to maintain the level of the compensatory pension they have planned, since the second option proportionally adjusts the pensionable earnings of March 2020 (reduction of 25%).

b. A prerequisite for selecting the reduced contribution is, on the one hand, paying the notice before Tuesday, May 5, 2020, and, on the other hand, having paid the contributions for January and February 2020 (even if they are paid on May 5 along with the contribution from March).

c. The possibility of payment in four (4) installments without surcharges applies only to those who are included in the affected sectors, as determined by the announced Activity Code (CAD).
It is recalled that the payment of contributions from January 2020 onwards is made with a new electronic payment code (RF).

For this reason, all insured persons who use a fixed order to pay their insurance contributions must enter the new electronic payment code in the electronic services of the bank with which they cooperate.
