The extension of the confinement in Attica by one week, for the reduction of the coronavirus pandemic, that is, until March 8, is suggested by the infectious diseases committee, which meets on Friday morning.
In the event that the proposal is finalized, we will reach the third week of continuous lockdown at Attica. At the same time, this means that we will celebrate Swan on Thursday with new surveillance measures, the announcements being officially expected by Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalia. It remains to be seen what other areas will go “red” and with more stringent measures.
Experts will examine the epidemiological data next week and judge again. They will have more data on the course of the virus in Attica at least until next Wednesday so that they can confidently talk about whether or not to lift the measures, with the opening of retail trade lagging.
At the same time, Attica ICUs have reached their limits and the number of intubated patients has increased, according to official EODY data.
On Thursday 02/25/2021 1,784 new cases of coronavirus were announced. The dead were 39 and the intubated 367.
The following measures apply in particular to areas that are under severe blockage:

As for places of worship, services, worship meetings, rituals, sacraments, etc. are allowed. without the presence of believers. Up to nine people are allowed at weddings, christenings, funerals, memorials.
– As regards sports activities, the existing measures are still in force. While there is no difference in the measures that apply to archaeological sites, film screenings, live shows and auditions and other performing arts, conferences and exhibitions, as well as rehearsals and filming and television and film recordings.
– Laundries, gas stations, KTEO and vehicle synergy remain open. There are also pharmacies, supermarkets,
-Pet Shops, telecommunications companies, exclusively for repair, payment of bills and renewal of balances.
– Citizens will be seen by appointment at optical / hearing aid stores, by appointment. Respectively, by appointment, the service will be provided in the wig and positis stores, by appointment. All retail businesses using the eShop method will operate normally.
