The companies began to withdraw their Big Brother sponsorships after Antonis Alexandridis’ comment about “rape”, prompting angry reactions and the subsequent withdrawal of the player.
In their official announcements, Candia, Doctor Plant, NEF NEF and Rigas Furniture state that they want nothing to do with reality, pointing out, among other things, that they condemn specific opinions and attitudes.
“After being informed about the current and reprehensible incident of Big Brother player behavior, our company withdraws from its patronage, guided by respect for human existence and dignity. We condemn corresponding opinions and attitudes that do not represent us, “says Dr. Plant in a Facebook post.
She also clarifies that the cooperation is interrupted by the other sponsors who supported her in this project – Antemisari Nurseries SA, Agrostis, Panda Sports – Royal Grass Hellas, Lechuza Grecia.
In similar style and Candia’s announcement, which states that “our company withdraws from its sponsorship, in this room, based on respect for existence and human dignity.”
“Rape is a crime and must be dealt with even when referring to the altar of television,” says Rigas Furniture.
“We withdraw our sponsorship of Big Brother and acknowledge our error in collaborating with a program that is contrary to the spirit and values of our company,” NEF NEF announced.
Camelot also withdraws its sponsorship, stressing that the decision was made because it “respects human values, women, and human dignity in general.”
