Episodes 3 and 4 of Last Dance were dedicated to the Bulls with the Pistons.
In Game 4 of the 1991 Eastern Final (where the broom came from), the Pistons never wanted to congratulate the Bulls. They decided to leave the floor 7.9 seconds before the end of the season while losing by 21. They went to the locker room in one of the biggest unfair plays (the Celtics had done the same to them before) without shaking hands with the team that beat them. Only Joe Dumars and John Saley were left to congratulate.
One of the protagonists of that team, Bill Leibniz, spoke about the Detroit movement and emphasized that he does not regret what happened.
“He was crying for 1.5 years. They said we are not a good team, that we are doing bad things in basketball. But the worst part was that they said we were bad people. We are not bad people, we are basketball players who played hard to win “This had to do with our personal lives. Then they blocked us. I give them credit, we were old. They were crying. I don’t regret not having given us our hands in the end. I don’t care what the media says. We wanted to win the games and the championships. And we did it, “said Leibniz.
“All the whining they made, why shake their hands? They were just crybaby.” – Bill Laimbeer
