With a seemingly ever-increasing number of cable and streaming services, just figure out where to watch that one live event as a showown challenge. So in an effort to help cut back on sound, Google upgrades Google with some new features to help you find live streaming sports, shows, and movies.

For NBA and MLB fans, finding a game will be as easy as typing in, “Where can you see the Clippers game” in Google Search. From there, Google will present a list of TV channels that are currently hosting the action. iif you are just looking for something “Dodgers game,” in addition to Google’s typical results – which includes info such as live scores, a team schedule and current rankings—there will also be a new “Live on” button that should have different viewing options.

While Google’s new search upgrades only work for basketball and baseball, Google says it plans to add them more leagues in the future. Furthermore, while Google currently surpasses most TV channels, the company is also hopes to include data that more quickly “highlights digital streaming options.”

As for regular live TV shows and movies, follow the new recommendation tool added to Search last year, Google added a new carousel of content featuring live feeds from various cable and broadcast providers. These feeds need to be relatively up-to-date, so if you are looking for something that is happening right now, there is a good chance it will be displayed in the carousel.

And when you search for shows on your smartphone use phrases such as, ‘What to see“If” good shows to watch, “Google Search will provide info for both live TV and streaming options. In addition, Google itself will distinguish between content that is currently live and upcoming programming with the headlines” On TV now ” and “On TV later”, so if you are trying to plan a night out binge watching, you can figure out which shows you might want to watch first.

While the upgrade from Google to Search may not completely remove the frustration of finding out where you can watch live sports or films (especially for cablecutters that may not have cable), it’s nice to see Google Search better adapt to our increasingly connected lives.
