More than three weeks ago, Big Brother sent 18 stars to wonderland. They all came out one by one, but only one with the crown. Werner Hansch wins “Promi Big Brother” 2020 and breaks a world record.

On August 5, the first 13 of the 18 candidates went to the fairytale forest. Two days later, Sat.1 sent three more stars later. Throughout the season, one resident after another abandoned the format: one voluntarily, the other was rejected by the audience. Additionally, two other VIPs were allowed to join the candidates in the middle of the project.

At Friday night’s final, only four of the residents remained: singer Kathy Kelly, reality star Mischa Mayer, former sports reporter Werner Hansch and Malle star Ikke Hüftgold.

In the nearly four-hour live show, the candidates had to once again prove themselves because, as always, only one person can win.

Ikke Hüftgold lands in fourth place

All four celebrities were automatically on the starting list, there was no longer a nomination in the final. So the audience had freedom of choice. Spectators must call for their favorite. The finalist with the fewest calls was Ikke Hüftgold. Ballermann’s singer was the first to be chosen from the final. After him, Kathy Kelly also had to leave.

Mischa Meyer landed second. In the finale, the former “Love Island” contestant asked his fans not to call him anymore and to dial Werner Hansch’s number.

“Please call Werner!”

“I know I still have a great future ahead of me. Please call Werner and save me the money,” said the 27-year-old. “Man needs money. He doesn’t have to win, he wants to win and he should win.” And so it happened. Werner Hansch is the winner of the eighth season of “Celebrity Big Brother”.

When Big Brother announced the winner, tears came to his mind. The public and former studio residents also had to cry. Because everyone knew how much victory would help him. You can see the emotional moments in the video or above. here.

The victory bonus could “solve all problems”

As soon as he arrived in the land of fairy tales, the 82-year-old revealed his addiction to gambling through tears. Not only did it destroy their relationship, it also ruined it financially. He had “bet more than half a million.” The 100,000 euro cash prize “would solve all problems.”

With the victory, Werner Hansch can not only solve his problems, but also break a record. Because the 82-year-old sports reporter is actually the oldest reality show winner in the world.

Next year, Sat.1 will once again send the elite of the show business to the container. “Celebrity Big Brother” is in its ninth round in 2021. Jochen Schropp and Marlene Lufen confirmed it in the final on Friday night.
