In Hamburg’s Billbrook district, a car repair shop caught fire on Saturday, sparking a large-scale fire service. The fire had spread rapidly, a fire department spokesman said. When the approximately 120 emergency services arrived, the shop was on fire. Furthermore, the flames had already spread to an adjacent warehouse complex. The police suspect that the cause of the fire is a technical defect.

Fire pollutes the adjacent river
Hamburg firefighters had to put out a burning business in Billbrookdeich on Saturday.
In the fire, oil and gasoline spilled into the neighboring Bille River. THW and firefighters had to contain the oil spill on Saturday afternoon. No injuries
About 130 firefighters were on duty. Emergency services managed to protect adjacent residential buildings and other boathouses from the flames. It is not yet clear what caused the fire. No one was injured in the fire. The fire quickly spread over an area of about 2,000 square meters and completely destroyed corridors, a fire department spokesman said. According to the information, the extinction work was difficult due to the narrow development of the adjacent buildings.
