US election ahead of decision: Biden now has minimal lead in Georgia – politics

The US elections are in the final stretch. Both Joe Biden and Donald Trump still have a chance of winning. However, in the early hours of Friday morning, it looks like Joe Biden could continue his run to catch up in Pennsylvania and Georgia. If Pennsylvania wins, it would be enough for him for the presidency. Here’s an overview of what it looks like in the respective states:

Georgia – 16 voters – Biden now leads with about 1,000 votes

In Georgia, more than 99 percent of the vote is counted. There are still around 5000 votes to be counted (at 12:00 noon CET). Both Democratic and Republican counties have yet to be counted. Additionally, many of the votes from US Army personnel serving overseas will not be counted for the next few days. They, in turn, could probably lean toward Trump. So it could be a few days before the status is officially decided. If there is a difference of 0.5 percent of the votes, a recount of the ballots can be requested.
