Kaufland Mobil: Prepaid Rate on the Telecom Network Can Do That

[ad_1]

If K-Classic mobil was still implemented on the Telefónica / O2 network, the new prepaid mobile rate Kaufland Mobil now uses the Telekom network. However, users shouldn’t expect surprisingly new rates. In contrast, Kaufland Mobil’s offering is strongly geared towards established cell phone discount stores Penny Mobil and ha! Mobil, behind which are Telekom’s subsidiary, Congstar, and Norma Connect, operated by Telekom.

Kaufland Mobil Prepaid Tariffs

Unsurprisingly, in addition to the prepaid base rate, Kaufland Mobil customers will also find three Allnet flat rates with different data volumes and several smaller options. In addition to the daily flat rate, each one has a term of 28 days and they are automatically extended if there is enough credit, provided that users do not unsubscribe. An option can be canceled daily.

The Kaufland Mobil Starter Pack is available for a one-time fee of € 9.99. The initial credit of € 10 is already included in the price, so the start of the rate is free. Customers can recharge their new credit using a credit card, which is available at all Kaufland branches, through the app, WhatsApp, or online transfer.

Free courier option available at basic rate

Without a reserved option, customers use the basic rate, which charges 9 minutes for each minute of conversation and SMS. A corresponding prepaid option is required to use mobile Internet. Kaufland Mobil offers a special offer for this: the free messaging option. It contains 1 GB of data and a reduced speed of 32 kbit / s upstream and downstream, which is enough to send messages through WhatsApp or other messengers. After the 1 GB data volume is consumed, Kaufland Mobil accelerates to 2 kbit / s upstream and downstream.

DayFlat and minutes and surf options

In addition to its Allnet floors, Kaufland Mobil offers several reservation options in addition to the basic rate, which can be used at no additional cost thanks to EU roaming in other EU countries.

The DayFlat for 1 euro is, as its name implies, valid for one day at a time and is aimed at customers who want to use the Internet in the short term. With the option, you get a data volume of 25 MB with which you can use the standard speed of 25 Mbit / s downstream and 5 Mbit / s upstream. Even the Telekom LTE network is open to them with DayFlat. The Surf-Flats S to XL, which cost between 3 and 15 euros and provide between 500 MB and 5 GB of data, are also intended for pure Internet use.

On the other hand, the Allnet 100 includes 100 free minutes and 100 free SMS for 2 euros, which can be used for four weeks after booking. After consumption of the inclusive units, the provider charges again according to the basic rate, that is, 9 cents per unit used. If you want to protect yourself, you can use the Allnet Flat option for 4 euros and make calls and then send unlimited text messages on all German networks. However, an internet option is not included here.

Kaufland Mobil Smart Rates

Smart rates are probably the most interesting for users. The smallest offer here is the Smart XS, which combines a flat 1GB internet rate with 100 minutes on all German networks and costs € 4.99 for four weeks. The Smart S, M, and L offerings, on the other hand, are classic Allnet flooring. The structure corresponds to the offers that we already know from Penny, Rewe and Norma.

All three have a flat rate telephone, a flat rate SMS and a flat rate Internet. The Smart S for 7.99 euros has a total data volume of 3 GB, the Smart M for 12.99 euros allows you to navigate without restrictions up to a consumption of 5 GB of data volume and the Smart L for 19.99 euros has a data volume of 7 GB.

The maximum speed for all four offers is 25 Mbit / s on Telekom’s LTE network. After acceleration, it drops to a maximum of 64 kbit / s in the downstream and 16 kbit / s in the upstream.

TECHBOOK thinks

“K-Classic mobil was on the market for a long time and was not unattractive in terms of price. Especially in the Telefónica / O2 network there was and continues to be a lot of competition that attracts customers with increasingly cheaper rates. The fact that Kaufland is creating a new offering on the telecommunications network is a smart move. Because here the selection of prepaid rates with LTE access is still manageable. Furthermore, the telecommunications network in Germany is very well developed and it is not for nothing that it has such a good reputation. A bit of a shame for Kaufland Mobil’s offer is the great similarity to Penny Mobil’s rates, ha! Mobil and Norma Connect. A little more variety surely would have been good for the market. After all, there’s a little extra to the free messaging feature at the new rate. It remains to be seen whether the mobile phone discount can encourage customers to change. “- Rita Deutschbein, editor
