That spontaneous, personal and legitimate decision, product of surprise and even the natural instinct of survival, was the one that led a woman to fight with two thieves who attacked her, in this new case of cell phone theft, when she was walking with her young daughter on a corner of the Risaralda de Montería neighborhood.
The shocking scene was recorded by a security camera in the sector, which shows how the young mother goes unprepared, slowly, to the step of the minor. He was going to a store, according to the Meridian.
On his back comes the motorcycle with two men (really, two cowards who mess with a woman and a girl), one of whom, the grill man, gets off, but fails to surprise his victim, who realizes that they want to steal his cell phone, backs up and starts screaming. The girl was left alone in the middle of the robbery.
The thief chases the woman and for a moment the two of them leave the frame. When they return, the woman has her attacker by the back and waist, who manages to turn around and deliver the first stabs in the arms. In the struggle they knock the girl down.
Later, the offender manages to get away from the also surprising response of his victim, and tries to get back on the motorcycle already in motion. But he does not succeed because of the persistent reaction of the woman who even makes him fall and chases him.
The thief who drives the motorcycle (even more cowardly), before the attack of the victim, leaves his buddy abandoned and escapes. The other is chased by the injured young mother, and later captured by the community and the Police.
The Zero Zone portal, in the note that reviews this robbery attempt and that shows the video of the attack, considers the woman as “heroic and brave”, while El Heraldo, in its record, maintains that what she did was “such a feat”.
In this case, the woman came out alive, and was later treated in a health center. But there have been other events in which victims are even killed without putting up the slightest resistance.
In Bogotá, the most recent episode is that of the waiter Oswaldo Muñoz, who bled to death on a Transmilenio bus after being stabbed in the leg by thieves who stole his cell phone.
