Coronavirus in Colombia: Government will announce new restrictions

It is worth mentioning that the report of the National Institute of Health (INS) for this Saturday, April 3, reports 9,149 new cases, 155 deaths and 8,469 recovered, with which the country reaches the figure of 2,437,197 infections since the pandemic began.

In the last hours, the authorities announced that Medellín and the Aburrá Valley, as well as the Near East of Antioquia, They will have a curfew between 6 in the afternoon and 5 in the morning from this Monday, April 5 until Easter Friday. In these same hours the dry law will govern. In addition, the peak and ID will continue to enter commercial establishments.

It will be managed with the Ministries of Health and Education that face-to-face classes are suspended for two weeks in public and private schools of these two regions, which concentrate 90 percent of the contagions of the department.

For its part, the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla extended the curfew and prohibition measures until Monday, April 12, that were only planned for Easter, in order to control the cases of covid-19 that continue to increase in that region of the country.
