Claudia López, Mayor of Bogotá, tightened the dry law for this end of the year:
Starting at dawn on December 31 and until midnight on January 1, the sale of liquor in the city is prohibited. Neither restaurants nor domiciliary can supply these drinks.

“Less liquor, greater care in biosecurity; less liquor, fewer injuries; less liquor, fewer fights; less liquor is less risk to life”, said the president of the capital.

Although Claudia López ruled out decreeing the hospital red alert, she asked citizens to toughen self-care measures.

“Today we have 72% occupancy in the UCI, we believe that we will be more or less at that level in the course of this week and that the next week it will slowly begin to decline,” he said.

He also sent a recommendation to those who traveled this season and are going to return to Bogotá.

“For those who left Bogotá and are returning, we are going to ask you to try to stay working and studying at home that week, check the evolution of symptoms. We do not know, but we need to know, if suddenly they are arriving infected ”, he pointed.
