The vice president, Marta Lucía Ramírez, announced that the coronavirus test was carried out this Thursday and gave a positive result. The official is among the population most at risk, since she is 66 years old.

“Yesterday I took the covid-19 test, since I had planned to travel to the Governors’ Summit in Manizales. He informed the Colombians that the result was positive. Thank God, I am in good health complying with the corresponding isolation“he trilled.

In addition, Ramírez pointed out that he does not present symptoms and the application of the epidemiological fence began.

“In compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health, the application of the protocols established to make the epidemiological fence began”, said the vice presidency in a community.

The Vice President reiterated her call that “all Colombians continue to comply with biosafety measures and we can continue with a safe reactivation.”

In this same sense, the high official pointed out that “It is time to strengthen our spirituality, to take care of ourselves and protect ourselves. It is a test that, without a doubt, we must face with humility and wisdom, following medical recommendations to continue honoring the promise of courage that I made to Colombians. “

In most of the events in the last week, the Vice President has participated virtually. However, this Thursday he was in the sanction of the extension of the PAEF.

Routinely, President Iván Duque was tested for covid-19 this Thursday and gave a negative result.

In social networks they have sent him messages hoping for his speedy recovery: “I wish Martha Lucía Ramírez a speedy recovery infected with Covid 19,” wrote Humberto de la Calle.

Other officials who have had covid-19

In June, it was confirmed that the Vice Minister of the Interior, Daniel Palacios, had a coronavirus. In July, the presidential advisor for Stabilization and Consolidation, Emilio Archila, announced that he had coronavirus.

In August, the Comptroller General of the Republic, Carlos Felipe Córdoba, also announced it.

Also, in October the attorney general, Francisco Barbosa, tested positive for covid-19.
