The selection of the first people to be vaccinated against the new coronavirus will be made among health personnel who are on the first line of care for covid patients and that amount to more than 77,231 people, including health professionals and those who work. with surveillance, cleaning, orderlies, pharmacy dispatch, etc.
“We are going to prioritize hospitals that have a greater number of ICUs as any criterion, but we wanted to introduce that the entire territory of Bogotá is represented, that the start of vaccination is at each point of the city,” explained Alejandro Gómez, the secretary of health.
The hospitals where vaccination will start next weekend are Simón Bolívar, Méderi, SantaFe, Kennedy, Cancer Institute, Santa Clara and the central hospital of the National Police.
“The criteria are a ‘mix’ according to the guidelines that the National Government gave us. Whoever is not seen in this photo does not mean that we are not going to vaccinate them, only that we only have 12,500 vaccinations, the first criterion was, if we go to a hospital we will try to finish that hospital, “said Gómez.
