Until Monday there will be a curfew and dry law in the Atlantic

The Government of the Atlantic announced that this weekend the curfew and dry law will govern, with the purpose of continuing to reduce the risk of contagion by Covid-19.

In the 22 municipalities of the Atlantic, the curfew is in effect from 8:00 pm today, Friday, August 28, until Saturday, August 29, at 5:00 a.m. and from Saturday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 31 at 5:00 am

The dry law runs from today Friday, August 28 at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, August 31 at 5:00 a.m.

“We cannot lower our guard, therefore it is essential to abide by the rules. We are reminding the inhabitants of the 22 municipalities of the Department that this weekend, in accordance with Decree 295 of August 9, the dry law and the curfew. Therefore, we respectfully request that you abide by these measures, “said the Secretary of the Interior of the Department, Yesid Turbay.

This weekend, Police and Army personnel will carry out control and surveillance operations in the municipalities, to monitor compliance with the curfew and dry law.

As of September 1, Decree 1168 of 2020 enters into force, through which the national government regulated the phase of selective isolation and responsible individual distancing.

Among the measures is individual selective isolation, which will seek to promote self-care and social distancing, compliance with biosecurity protocols in all activities and measures for citizen behavior issued by the Ministry of Health with respect to higher risk groups.

Yesterday the governor of Atlántico, Elsa Noguera, met with the 22 municipal mayors. During the virtual meeting, it was agreed to work jointly with the municipal mayors to verify the opening protocols.
