Two-year-old girl died after falling from a building in the south of Bogotá

Emily Sofía Doria would have fallen through a tenth-floor window while playing without the supervision of her parents. The inhabitants of the residential complex in which the events occurred make a collection to help with the girl’s funeral, since their relatives are of limited resources.

Around 12:45 pm last Friday, an unfortunate event occurred in the town of Bosa. A two-year-old girl died after accidentally falling from the window of her 10th-floor home.

The case would have been presented while the girl was playing. Despite the fact that her parents were at home, it seems that in a carelessness the little girl approached the window and fell off the cliff.

“They told me that, that it was an accident, that the window was not properly closed and that the baby went through the window, nothing more,” explained Merly Gómez, a relative of the little girl, to Caracol News.

The authorities attended to the case and confirmed that the girl had died from the impact. “Immediately the alarms were activated so that health organizations were to verify the situation, but unfortunately the minor passed away on the site”Said Major Diego Rozo, commander of the station Bosa Police.

After what happened, according to the residents of the sector, the girl’s parents were very dismayed. In turn, the residents of the Tánagara II residential complex, where the events occurred, make a collection for the little girl’s burial, because the family is of limited resources and comes from Montería (Córdoba). It will be in that city where the funeral of the minor will take place.
