The Instituto de Tránsito de Soledad applied tests to detect COVID-19 to 31 of the 37 officers who work in the accident and operational groups, where two tested positive while two others are awaiting the results.

To the 27 who gave negative to the contagion tests, it was recommended by the municipality’s Public Health Office to remain in preventive isolation while carrying out field work that allows establishing which ones can return to provide their services for the benefit of the mobility of the municipality.

The director of the Institute, Yomaira Solano, entered a period of isolation, as a preventive measure, after it was confirmed that she had contact in recent days with one of the agents who tested positive for the test.

“My state of health is good, thank God. I have had the second test and I am abiding by the recommendations of the health authorities. The agents who tested positive are in their homes, in isolation, and we are providing them with all the necessary support to face these difficult moments, ”said the official.

“Our agents have tested positive for the virus in the course of their work. They have been on the streets accompanying the work of the Police, the Army and our mayor Rodolfo Ucrós Rosales, so that the inhabitants stay at home, keep their physical distance and help us contain this virus that has affected many families in our municipality, including those of our agents, “he added.

He reiterated the call to the community to respect the measures ordered by the national and municipal governments, whose sole objective is to protect the life and health of the people of Soledad.

Solano Arrieta maintained that since the beginning of the quarantine as a measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Institute had pedagogical campaigns as well as control operations that to date have resulted in the immobilization of 189 vehicles.
