The official added that this person, whose identity was kept anonymous, is in isolation and being followed.

Martínez informed the aforementioned commission that additionally it was known that on December 19, a family nucleus of 4 people from England arrived in the city, a group that to date has no symptoms.

“They were convinced of the importance of performing the verification test for the existence of the virus, so this test was carried out on December 29, 2020 and is awaiting the results, for verification with the Institute National Health. The community and travelers are expected to clearly express their place of origin and understand the importance of isolation, ”said the director of IDS.

Regarding the vaccination plan for COVID-19, which was also discussed at the meeting held by the Regional Commission for Moralization of Norte de Santander, in which the governor in charge, Víctor Bautista; the mayor of Cúcuta, Jairo Tomás Yáñez; Juan Agustín Ramírez, director of the ESE Imsalud and a representative of the Erasmo Meoz University Hospital, the authorities revealed the serious misinformation problem generated by the alleged non-participation of the department in the national vaccine plan.

As it was concluded, this statement “is clearly inappropriate and tendentious, since the department has already assigned 346,000 vaccines, available in February and to be applied free of charge.”

The health authorities mentioned, with respect to the refrigeration of the Pfizer vaccine, that they have the planning and arrangement of deep freezers and, of course, the assurance that in addition to the deep freezers the vaccine allows handling from 2 ° to 8 ° centigrade for five days.
