It’s over 12:30 in the afternoon this Thursday, the prisoner who escaped from a clinic in Villavicencio was captured. The Inpec will give more details of the events in a statement that will be carried out at its facilities.
Inmate Óscar Eloín Laverde Hernández was transferred to the Meta Clinic, where he was receiving medical attention and, on the afternoon of last Wednesday, he managed to escape from the vigilance of the guards who accompanied him.
According to Felipe Harman, mayor of the city, the man was armed. According to what has been reported by the authorities, Laverde Hernández has a history of sexual exploitation of minors, aggravated theft and homicide.

After the leak was known, the Police deployed an operation with more than forty uniformed men in the San José and Colinas neighborhoods, residents of Barzal, where the prisoner would have taken the escape route, according to statements taken from witnesses.
In the statements, the mayor said that it is not known whether man is positive for coronavirus. However, in the Villavicencio prison -where the man was before being transferred to the clinic- More than 800 cases of infected prisoners have already been confirmed.
The local president said that the prisoners “they are flying from the noses of the Inpec who irresponsibly does not respect public health controls and protocols and is unable to carry out his duties. “
Harman asked to change the directors of this prison and the Uspec: “the National Government must make decisions regarding the prison, if this director does not serve and the director of the Uspec does not serve, he has to assume changes, but they cannot continue to endanger Villavicencio’s public health conditions“

In addition to this fact, it was also known that a man who remained in this same prison and positive for coronavirus, recovered his freedom and he would be wandering the streets because his brother did not receive him at home for fear that it would infect him and his family.
