This weekend restrictions on mobility will begin, which will run until January, in seven sub-regions of the department (Bajo Cauca, Magdalena Medio, Southwest, East, North, Northeast and West). This was stipulated in a meeting between the governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, and the mayors of the municipalities.
In principle, these provisions will not govern either Urabá or the Aburrá Valley.
The measure, in particular, will limit mobility in the early mornings. That is, it starts on Saturday 12 at 00 hours and will go until 6:00 in the morning. At the same time there will be restrictions every day until next January 3.
People who need to travel in that period will have to be within the exceptions that were handled during the quarantine. Those who for work reasons have to travel within these hours are also exempt.
Gaviria explained that the measure was taken to balance the reopening of the economy and the health of Antioqueños. He also made a call to “not lower your guard” and avoid crowds at family gatherings.
The instructions of the authorities are: share at home only with the family nucleus with whom you live, maintain biosafety protocols, take special care of the elderly and refrain from making risky contacts with which the virus can spread, this in order to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
“Avoid family gatherings with large crowds and try to do it only with the closest people to avoid exposure and contagion of the covid-19 that is still present in the city. We also call for adults, who are not under the influence of liquor or psychoactive substances in use of their faculties, who are responsible for taking care of the candles, preparing the food “, indicates Natalia López Delgado, Undersecretary of Public Health from Medellín.
