A tragic accident occurred this December 25th in Sierra Morena, in the town of Bolivar City, in Bogota. Three people from the same family died.
A family made up of two parents and four children, minors, they were in their car when they were weighed down by a tanker truck that overturned.
The father of the family and a minor under 5 years of age died at the scene. One of the children, 2 years old, who was in intensive care, he failed to win the battle and died.
According to witnesses to the fatal accident, the truck was traveling at high speed when the accident occurred. “That truck was going full throttle because the street barriers cracked, it took the car and then knocked over a pole. The man related that as soon as the event occurred, tried to get the family out of the car. “We started helping three children. They were all small. We could only get them out because the others were trapped “Casallas explained.
“The children were serious, more than all the little one, he was doing very badly. The accident was terrible”the witness told the news.
The mother and 3 other minors are still in medical care. For now, the Ministry of Health did not report that the truck driver was intoxicated.
