A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being run over by a white truck, which they say was allegedly driven by William José Dangond Baquero, better known as ‘El Palomo’, father of the renowned musician Silvestre Dangond.

The wounded man was identified as Alejandro Nieves, 47, who has a head trauma and other injuries to his lower limbs. The accident occurred on Calle 14 and Carrera 18 in the San Vicente neighborhood, exactly diagonal from the pediatric area of the Laura Daniela Clinic.
Witnesses affirmed THE PYLON that the affected person was parked on his motorcycle, with plates EMS98B, in the street that adjoins the assistance center and was unexpectedly run over by the white van with plates GJP-536.
Likewise, the vehicle managed to take another motorcycle with EJZ45F plates, driven by Fredy Arias, 45, who fortunately was unharmed. A health official who attended the emergency told this media that when he arrived to treat the injured, the citizens accused Palomo of causing the incident.

“Those who were there said that he got out and said that he did not kill him, that he was alive and left. That was manifested by those who were there”, He said.
The wounded man was taken to the Laura Daniela Clinic where his state of health was still unknown. For its part, the National Police reported that it did not know who the truck belonged to since the driver fled the scene.
