President Ivan duqueIn its Prevention and Action program on Wednesday, it announced that voluntary selective isolation will last until November 30.

This figure contemplated, since September 1, the economic and social reactivation, but with the established biosecurity measures: hand washing, use of face masks and avoiding crowds.

The president indicated that he gave instructions to the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz Gomez, so that much more emphasis is placed on risks posed by agglomerations in the country, as they facilitate the spread of the virus.

Likewise, President Duque said that the local authorities must work hand in hand with the National Government to avoid a further increase in cases. He also emphasized that citizenship is key in this work. “Citizen discipline will prevail so that we can have a good month of November, with a safe reactivation and protect the Christmas season in our country.”

The president called on Colombian families so that, “even in intimate and family spaces, we take all precautions.”

Finally, he specified that they will continue to monitor the behavior of the pandemic in the country, “To take specific actions, such as the one adopted in Antioquia and Medellín, which were carried out seeking a safe reactivation and preventing disproportionate increases in the number of cases” of coronavirus.

It is worth remembering that in Antioquia a curfew was adopted for the celebration of Halloween during this weekend, in order to avoid crowds in the celebration of this special day in the country.
