After a month of severe confinement in Colombia due to the coronavirus, the Iván Duque National Government authorized Colombians to can do sports in the morning hours while the mandatory preventive isolation lasts, which runs until May 11, 2020.
The Minister of Sport, Ernesto Lucena, has been explaining in recent days the rules and regulations for citizens who want to exercise since Monday, April 27. The hours allowed will be between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., the recommendation is that each individual limit their exercise to a maximum of one hour.
What exercise is allowed during quarantine?
The Colombian population will be able to walking, jogging, running, cycling and do individual exercise no more than 1 kilometer away from home. It is not allowed to do it in pairs or groups; each individual must keep 5 meters from the other people.
The courts, recreational parks and bio-healthy parks will not be enabled. These sites are considered a source of contamination.
The rules for exercise in quarantine
– The hours will be between 5 and 8 in the morning.
– Comply with the use of the mask and a minimum distance of 5 meters between people.
– The exercise will be in a period no longer than one hour.
– Each person must have individual hydration and it is forbidden to share items such as towels, ties, food, among others.
Who is prohibited from going out to exercise?
Adults over 70 must stay home, they are not allowed to go out to exercise, they will be in mandatory preventive isolation until May 31. It is the population with the highest risk of transmission by Covid-19.
Children may go out but with a companion and they’re only allowed to exercise for 30 minutes, under the same health and safety conditions of others.

Gyms, sports centers, clubs, swimming pools and other venues will remain closed. In Bogotá the peak and gender are maintained, including for sport.

If you cough, cover your mouth with your elbow flexed or with a disposable tissue, 4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth, 5. If you have a fever or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention, but call line 123 first, 6. Follow the instructions of the authorities local and national.
Likewise, the Ministry of Health developed an application for the cell phone that allows to follow what happens with the Covid-19 in the country. CoronaApp is available for free to download on Android and iOS devices.
