Quarantine exercise: hours, permits and restrictions

Since last Monday, April 27, and amid the mandatory preventive isolation that the country is experiencing, because of the coronavirus pandemic, people are authorized to be able to leave home and exercise outdoors, of course, with established schedules and certain restrictions.

“The development of physical activities and outdoor exercise of people who are in the age range of 18 to 60 years, for a maximum period of one (1) hour per day, according to the measures, instructions and schedules that mayors set their respective territorial jurisdictions “, indicated in decree 593 of April 24, 2020.

Schedule

In Bogota: Between 6 and 10 in the morning.

– In Medellín: Between 2 and 3 in the afternoon.

On the Caribbean Coast: Barranquilla (4 am to 8:00 am), Cartagena and Valledupar (5:00 am to 7 am), Montería (5:00 am to 8 am), Sincelejo (6:00 am to 7:00 am) and Santa Marta from May 4 (6:00 am to 7:00 am).

In Cali and the Coffee Axis: Cali and Armenia (6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.), Manizales (5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.).

What exercises can be done?

The activities that can be done outside the home are: walking, jogging, running, cycling, and individual exercise. It should be remembered that the exercise cannot be done in pairs or groups, so the use of the courts, recreational parks and bio-healthy parks is not enabled.

Restrictions and recommendations for exercise

– Comply with the use of the mask and a minimum distance of 5 meters between people.

– The exercise should be done in a period not exceeding one hour.

– Each person must have individual hydration and it is forbidden to share items such as towels, ties, food, among others

– You can not move more than a radius of a kilometer from the house.

– Children under 18 and adults over 60 must stay at home, they are not allowed to go out to exercise.

– Keep a distance of 10 meters around while jogging or running. Avoid forming crowds.

Can you exercise in the common areas of the sets?

If you live in a residential complex, you must leave it to carry out sports practice since the parks of the groups cannot be used for this purpose. Additionally, the groups must close the pools, parks, saunas and gyms, if any.
