“After a work of more than four months by Asobares with the technical teams of MinComercio and Minsalud in the construction of the protocol for bars and restaurants with liquor consumption, Minsalud has just issued resolution 1569 that contains the protocol for our activity”, celebrated Camilo Ospina, president of Asobares.
In order to do so, bars and restaurants must install a control point at the entrance to record the entry of customers, in which in addition to verifying the proper use of masks and taking the temperature, they must complete a self-declaration of health status. In addition, establishments must guarantee the natural circulation of air and the distance of two meters between people, both at the bars and at the tables and, as far as possible, establish different entrance and exit doors.
The Ministry also stressed that workers should receive personal protection items and have active breaks for disinfection and hand washing, especially after coming into contact with customers, and that users need to be invited to follow those same policies. Similarly, establishments must establish specific disinfection protocols for contact points and kitchen areas; make permanent waste collections; and disinfecting chairs and tables each time they are used.
The protocol also establishes that physical menus may not be used and that the products that are requested to be shared must be served in individual containers, “as well as informing customers about the prohibition of sharing food, drinks, drinks, cigarettes and hookahs. It is also important disinfect liquor bottles before being delivered to customers and make the necessary elements available for their individual consumption “.
The guidelines also contemplate the prohibition of dancing within the establishments, as well as the launching of foam, confetti, foam and other substances.
