Peak and plate in Bogotá: this is how it will apply from October 26 to 30

Although the peak and plate restriction in Bogotá returned last September 22, many citizens continue to have doubts about how it works and what are the exceptions established for the ‘new normal’.

For this last week of the month, which runs from Monday, October 26 to November 1, the restriction for private vehicles will continue under the model of odd and even plates. The hours of application of the measure is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

  • Monday October 26: 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 0
  • Tuesday October 27: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 9
  • Wednesday, October 28: 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 0
  • Thursday, October 29: 1 – 3 – 5 – 7 – 9
  • Friday October 30: 2 – 4 – 6 – 8 – 0

  • Sunday, November 1: does not apply

As for the measure for taxis, the peak and plate restriction will be carried out according to the last digit of the plate. Vehicles will not be allowed to transit between 5:30 am and 9:00 pm The measure this week will be as follows:

  • Monday, October 26: 1 – 2
  • Tuesday October 27: 3 – 4
  • Wednesday October 28: 5 – 6
  • Thursday October 29: 7 – 8
  • Friday October 30: 9 – 0
  • Saturday October 31: 1 – 2
  • Sunday, November 1: does not apply

However, the peak and plate for collective public transport, which runs all day, will work like this:

  • Monday October 26: 9 – 0
  • Tuesday, October 27: 1 – 2
  • Wednesday October 28: 3 – 4
  • Thursday October 29: 5 – 6
  • Friday, October 30: 7 – 8
  • Saturday October 31: 9 – 0
  • Sunday, November 1: does not apply

Keep in mind that those who do not comply with the measure they are exposed to a fine of 15 SMDLV, which is equivalent to 438,000 pesos.

Likewise, the District established new exceptions to the peak and plate for the post-quarantine ‘new normal’. In other words, hybrid vehicles, health personnel, vehicles whose owners have accessed the Pico y Placa Solidario, and vehicles with three or more occupants will not be restricted to transit.
