There is controversy in Indonesia where the case of a nurse who was suspended for having sex with a patient who was hospitalized with coronavirus COVID-19 was known.

The incident would have come to light after the patient bragged about the meeting on his social networks, putting photos, among others, of the biosecurity suit on the floor and several explicit messages.

“It is true that there has been a suspicious incident of a same-sex relationship, between a healthcare worker and a COVID-19 patient, at Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital (in Jakarta). The nurse must follow a legal process ”, stated Asep Gunawan of the National Association of Nurses.

Later, according to local newspapers, the health worker accepted his responsibility and was detained, but is in isolation.

For his part, the patient also continues under medical care for being still positive for coronavirus, but will have to respond to the authorities.

They could face sentences of up to 10 years in jail.
