As a recurrence, nine cases of people who became infected with Covid-19 were cataloged, and days later they tested positive for coronavirus.
The Antioquia Health Secretariat reported this Friday that these people went from being recovered to active cases and must again comply with isolation.
The cases are in Medellín (7), Copacabana (1) and Envigado (1), according to the health authorities, who also assured that the outbreak is under study to determine why it occurred.
A case is classified as a recurrence when after the patient has negative results on his second test, he can again be positive and symptoms reappear.
Thus, the person returns to statistics as an active case, so it is necessary to take prevention and isolation measures again, explained the Ministry of Health.

Martha Londoño, an epidemiologist at the secretariat, asked everyone who has been tested to not move around the department until they have the results.
In Antioquia there are 501 cases of coronavirus, 76 in Medellín, 8 in Bello, 6 in Copacabana, 3 in Ituango, 3 in Itagüí, 2 in La Estrella, 2 in Envigado and one case in Rionegro, El Carmen de Viboral, Cisneros and El Bagre.
It should be remembered that nationwide, the number of infected from Covid-19 is 13,610 people, while deaths rose to 525 and the number of recovered is already 3,358.
