Cali will continue with a night curfew and dry law during this week, announced the Mayor’s Office, due to the covid-19 pandemic.

This Monday, January 18, the restrictive measures will be in force from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am the next day, while the rest of the week will start earlier.

From Tuesday to Friday, they will start at 8:00 pm and end at 5:00 am the other day.

The decree that leaves these provisions firm includes 46 exemptions and will be issued in the next few hours.

The Undersecretary of Inspection, Surveillance and Control, Jimmy Dranguet, said that the authorities will meet this Wednesday to assess the situation of the pandemic in the city and adopt measures for the weekend.

It should be remembered that the capital of Valle del Cauca comes from three consecutive weekends with a continuous curfew and dry law.

These provisions have been adopted due to the high occupancy in the Intensive Care Units.

Figures from the Departmental Health Secretariat indicate that, in Cali, more than 106,000 people have contracted covid-19 since March 2020.

The ‘pico y cédula’, necessary to carry out banking procedures or purchases, is still valid.
