The mayor of Medellín Daniel Quintero Calle established this Thursday, May 14, a new mandatory rule of entry to Medellín.

This taking into account the increase of new cases of contagion in the department by Covid-19.

It should be noted that some of these infections are imported from other regions, for which the Medellin president said that: “Given the increase in Covid-19 cases of people from other departments: Any person entering the city must register in Medellín Cuida me and insulate themselves for 15 days

This provision will be monitored by the Health and Safety Secretariats, which will closely monitor compliance with this measure.

The latest on these imported cases reaching Antioquia was reported in the municipality of Ituango, where three contractors are isolated and undergoing treatment for the coronavirus.

At the beginning of May it also happened in the municipality of El Bagre, where a patient arrived from Valledupar, but that case was later removed to her place of origin.

For these facts, taking into account that in the daily report Antioquia had maintained the average of 4 daily cases and has been raised in the last days to 7 or 10, the local authorities analyze measures that maintain the controlled performance of the department in handling of the pandemic.
