How is covid-19 going in Bogotá?
The Secretary of Government, Luis Ernesto Gómez, assured that there are “positive” signs in the framework of the red alert.
Gómez assured that there is a certain stability in the occupation and a decrease in the positivity of the tests taken.
“We must be grateful for the citizens’ compliance. Despite the return of people to Bogotá, in general we have a reduction of close to 50%, on average, in mobility. All this is what has allowed the UCI occupation to stabilize and a reduction in the positivity indicators, “stated the Secretary.
To date, Bogotá has 46,858 active cases of covid-19. Also, there is a consolidated figure of 12,183 deaths from the virus so far in the pandemic.
The general ICU occupancy is at 90.7% (with 2,215 beds occupied out of 2,441) and, specifically, the ICU occupancy of covid-19 is 92 (with 1,861 occupied beds out of a total of 2,023 arranged for this purpose).
Although they remain worrying figures, the UCI load curve is beginning to show some stability, instead of the constant rise seen since the beginning of January.
